Robert Earl Minor, 81, of Nevada, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Story County Senior Care in Nevada.

Robert was born August 27, 1935, in Audubon County, Iowa, the son of Earl and Rosella (Mischler) Minor. He graduated in 1954 from Gray High School and was united in marriage to Linda Burton on September 23, 1961. Robert worked for the USDA for 37 years, retiring from the NADC. He also had worked for the Iowa State Center. Robert was a member of the Madrid Evangelical Free Church and the Isaac Walton League. He enjoyed collecting toy John Deere tractors and model cars.

Robert is survived by his son, Greg (Kris) Minor of Nevada; his daughter, Dana Minor of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren: Kayla (Rusty) Garland, Autumn (Cody) Holmes and Caitlin Loney; and his great-grandchildren: Paige, Lilly, Nick, Rylie and Jordyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2015; and several brothers and sisters in infancy.

Robert has been cremated and services will be held at a later date.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
