Trent Micheal Folsom, 19, of Colo, formerly of Johnston, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada from complications of cardiac tamponade.

Trent was born April 24, 1997, in Des Moines, the son of Charles Folsom and Susan Eshelman. He graduated from Johnston High School in 2015 and enjoyed playing video games, music and spending time with his family. Trent will be remembered as being a very happy person.

Trent is survived by his fiancé Leslie Perry; his mother, Susan Eshelman (Jesse Shore); his father, Chuck (Stephanie) Folsom; his brother, Cody Folsom; his step-brother, Johnathan Shore; his step-sisters: Sheyenne and Shelby Shore; his half-brother, Brandon Folsom his half-sister, Hailey Folsom; his half-sister, Zoie Folsom; his step-sister, Kailee Elder, his half-brother, Hunter Folsom; his grandparents, Ron and Nancy Eshelman and Jack and Geri Kays; his uncles: Ron (Jessica) Eshelman Jr., Billie (Michelle) Folsom; his cousins: Celeste Sears, Paige Eshelman, Ethan Higgins Tyler Phillipson, Joseph and Logan Eshelman.

Trent was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Dan and Edwina Eshelman and John and Christiana Nolting.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Family will greet friends two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Trent.
