Page is captioned: COLO
Sunday, May 2nd, word came that Dorothy Mae O'Donnell, nineteen months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy O'Donnell, had passed away at their home in Mason City. She had been afflicted with whooping cough for over a month, but did not seem to be in a serious condition until Saturday night. So her death Sunday morning, May 2, 1920, was a great shock to her relatives and friends. Dorothy was a bright, winsome child and won many friends during her short life. The little form was brought to Colo Monday, accompanied by the sorrowing parents and little brother John, and grandparents Mrs. A. J. Hintz of Marshalltown and Mr. Jas. O'Donnell of Colo, and aunt, Mrs. Jas. Fitzgerald of Nevada (the latter having been called to Mason City Sunday). Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church at 9:30 Tuesday morning, conducted by Father Nichols, and the beloved form was laid to rest in St. James cemetery. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral, besides those already mentioned, were: Grandfather A. J. Hintz and George, Fred, Ed, and Anna Leone Hintz of Marshalltown, Lew and Harold Hintz and Mr. Jas. Fitzgerald of Nevada, and Mrs. Mike Fitzgerald of Marshalltown, besides several friends from State Center, Nevada and Ames. Sincere sympathy is extended to the sorrowing ones.
