MRS. CONFARE DIED FRIDAY AFTERNOON
HAD LIVED IN NEVADA AS DAUGHTER OF A PIONEER FAMILY
Mrs. May Confare, 69, died at her home in Ames Friday at 4:30 p. m. from the effects of internal injuries sustained in a motor car accident on the highway near Ontario street two weeks ago.
While Mrs. Confare had been suffering from the injuries it was not known that her condition was so serious and when her sister Mrs. W. W. Finnie of 907 Tenth street, Nevada, ledt her Thursday evening, it was with the thought that her condition was improving.
Funeral services for Mrs. Confate, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. S. E. Harrison, Nevada pioneers, will be held Sunday afternoon at the Collegiate M. E. church in Ames.
The body accompanied by her daughter Miss Ruth Confare and possibly her niece Miss Maxine Finnie, of Nevada, will leave Nevada over the Rock Island Sunday night for Great Bend, Kansas where it will be met by other relatives and interment will be in the cemetery of Great Bend Tuesday.
Mr Confare, earlier day resident of the Nevada community, died ans was buried at Great Bend about twenty years ago.
She leaves her daughter Miss Ruth of Ames who made her home with the mother, another daughter Mrs. Lessie Confare-Harrison of Los Angeles, Calif., and a son Bert Confare.
She also leaves her sisters, Mrs. Metta Thomas of Effingham, Kansas, and Mrs. Della Finnie of Nevada and three brothers, M. L. Harrison of Great Bend, Kansas, C. B. Harrison of Long Pax, Calif., and S. E. Harrison Jr. of Los Angeles.
The daughters Mrs. Lessie Harrison, will meet the funeral party at Great Bend for the interment.
