MRS. WINTERHUS PASSED AWAY
Mrs. Ragna Winterhus, who has been an inmate of the county farm home for a time, died there last Sunday evening, July 13, from infirmities due to old age. When death summoned her, she had attained the advanced age of eighty-two years. The funeral services were conducted from the Bergens church Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Roland cemetery.

Mrs. Ragna (Flogstad) Winterhus was born June 21, 1837 in Flogstad, Sevde, Norway and died July 13, 1919, at the county home near Nevada from infirmities due to old age.
On the 28th day of October, 1871, she was united in marriage to Mr. Winterhus at Sevde, Norway. Six children were born to this union, Ben Winterhus of Salol, Minn., and Miss Inger Winterhus of this city, the other four children dying in infancy.
They came to this country in 1889, locating first at Jewell, where they made their home for several years before coming to Roland. They located here in 1892. Her mind became slightly affected in the later years and she was taken to the hospital at Clarinda for treatment. She entered the hospital on the 12th day of August, 1916, and remained there until March 13, 1919, when she was removed to the county home at Nevada.
The funeral services were held at Bergens church and were conducted by Rev. G. Smedal. Interment was made in the Roland cemetery.
