Military Funeral for Veteran Asa White

Maxwell, April 26--Military funeral services for Asa White, Maxwell's last Civil War veteran were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ to Maxwell. Rev. DeLoss Marken of Des Moines former pastor here was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by a male quartette composed of Albert Green, Orlando Holtby, Robert Scott and James Kirk with Mrs. C. L. Kirk at the piano. Pallbearers were Dr. M. L. Steele, Dr. P. K. Jones, Glenn Cummings, James E. Ward and two grandsons of the deceased, Glenn and Lemuel White.

Burial was in the Center Grove cemetery.
