Mary Sowers

Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Sowers*, at Iowa Falls, had the misfortune to lose their daughter, Mary, one of the twin girls, on Friday last from diphtheria. She had been ill for a week but the disease was not evident till toward the last. A quarantine being necessary, short services were held in the yard by Rev. Witzigman in the presence of a few friends and the remains were brought by E. W. Kimble in his auto to Pleasant Grove for burial. Mr. T. J. Sowers who had gone to Iowa Falls accompanying him. Beautiful flowers were sent to the home also to the cemetery where the little mound was completely covered with them.

Mary was born in Milford township, May 2nd 1909 and died Dec. 9th 1913, at the home at Iowa Falls.
