Services Tuesday for Mrs. DeVaul

Mrs. Ruth L. DeVaul, 62, 2521 Little St., died about 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Mary Greeley Hospital where she had been a patient with injuries sustained in an automobile accident May 29.

Born in Burlington, she graduated from Burlington High School in 1928 and from Iowa State University in 1932. She returned to Ames in 1932 and was employed in the animal laboratory of the foods and nutrition department at Iowa State University.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Congregational; the Welch Avenue Club, the National Dietetics Assn. and had been alumni adviser to Chi Omega sorority here for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne A. DeVaul, a son, Richard, Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Twomey, Tacoma Park, Md., two brothers, Baron R. Dana of Shaland, O. and Amos W. Dana, Hampton, N.H. and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

Funeral services will beheld Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry A. Campbell of the First Church of Christ, Congregational officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established. Gifts may be left at the First National Bank.
