E. L. Wood Dead; Funeral Services Here on Friday
Funeral rites for E. L. Wood, age about 74 years, who died at a sanitarium at Colfax Wednesday will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Bishop Funeral home here with Rev. M. Kennedy in charge.
Mr. Wood had been an invalid much of the time since the death of his wife, Ida Stultz Wood, on February 17, 1931. Following her death he submitted to an operation and was for some time in charge of the Mayo surgeons of Rochester, after which he returned to his home for a period. Later he had spent his time with relatives but for the past year or more had been a Colfax for care.
One brother, George Wood of Crucus, N. D. is here today and there are two other brothers and a sister in Des Moines and other relatives who will be here for the service.
Mr. Wood had been resident of Nevada since about 1900 and worked for several years as a building contractor and general carpenter. Before coming to Nevada he had lived over in the Collins community where he was well known.
He was a member of the Central Presbyterian church and during the period of his married life in Nevada the family home was at 324 J avenue.
