Kimberly Lynn Michell of Ames, passed away Thursday May 5, 2016. A Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday May 9, 2016 at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St., Ames, Iowa 50010). A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert Iowa.

Kim was born March 5, 1966 in Ames, Iowa to James and Beverly (Beckett) Turner. She grew up on the family farm near Ames. She graduated from Gilbert High School, went on to attend Iowa State University, and obtained her degree in Cosmetology from PCI Academy. She practiced cosmetology in the Ames area for over 10 years. Kim enjoyed growing up on a farm, it is where she learned her love of animals and showing quarter horses.

She will be remembered by those who knew her for her outgoing personality, she loved to talk and was friends with everyone she met. Kim was artistic by nature in everything she did. She was a beautiful, loving and caring person that will be missed by all who knew her.

Kim is survived by her husband; John Michell of Ames, IA, sister; Julie (Jeremy) Rydl and their children Jordan and Jaden Rydl, sister-in-law; Carol (Kirk) Huston of Toole, UT, brother-in-law's; Scott (Lori) Michell of Chilton, TX, and Steve (Brenda) Michell of Seattle, WA, and her father; James Turner of Ames, IA.
Kim is preceded in death by her mother; Beverly Turner of Ames, IA, and her father-in-law; John Michell Sr. of Sioux City, IA.
