William I. Webb, Sherman Twp. Pioneer, Died Thursday
Colo, June 28 -- William I. Webb, aged pioneer of Sherman township, passed away at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Winifred Shultz at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, June 27. He was 94 years old last March 25. He came to Story county in 1898, settling on the home farm in Sherman township, where he and his family have resided continuously ever since. Up to last fall, Mr. and Mrs. Webb maintained their own home, when failing health necessitated their moving in with their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Shultz, who have since cared for them. To them, were born 12 children, 10 of whom survive, two sons, William and James having passed away at the ages of 3 and 35 respectively.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Shultz home, Rev. Francisco of the Church of Christ at Zearing officiating.
