Mrs. G. F. Hayes was apprised yesterday of the death of her father, A. J. Hamersley. Mrs. Hayes visited her father a few weeks ago, and his condition was such when she left him that announcement of his death occasions no surprise. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Burris at Mount Carmel, Illinois, and leaves besides the two daughters mentioned, a son who resides in Salt Lake City. His age was seventy-nine. He visited the Hayes family in Nevada seven years ago.
