MCCALLSBURG

Mrs. Bertha Bergland was born in Aardal, Norway, Dec. 28 1852, died in McCallsburg, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1919 at the age of 66 years and 15 days. Mr. and Mrs. Bergeland came to this country 11 years ago. Mr. Bergeland died five years ago. She is survived by eight children, on daughter in Norway, two daughters in Dakota and one daughter, Mrs. Martin Helland, who lives near here and four sons, John, Edd, Andrew who live here and Bert who is at Camp Pike. She is also survived by two sisters, one in Norway and Mrs. Olaus Helland, one brother, S. J. Caltvedt. Short services were held from the home after which services were held in the Bethesda church by Rev. Sandven of Roland. She was laid to rest in the [---- unable to read ----] band. Mrs. Bergland has made her home with her son John Bergland and wife for some time. The family have the sympathy of the community.
