Obituary from Hamilton's Funeral & After Life Services, Altoona, Iowa:

Ilene Bush, 82, passed away on April 4, 2016, at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa. She was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on January 1, 1934, to Martha and Joseph Nodsle.

Ilene worked at J.C. Penney for many years where she made curtains. She also worked as a cook for the school district in Fargo, ND, and NADC in Ames, IA. Ilene enjoyed crafting, crocheting, fishing, camping, and cooking.

Ilene is survived by her sons, Allen (Michelle) Bush, Rodney (Teresa) Bush, and Eugene Bush; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Carol) Nodsle, Beverly Puttbrese, and Maryls (Larry) Mattson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; parents; grandson, Joseph Bush; brother, Marvin Nodsle; and sister-in-law, Vera Nodsle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
