Jordan Bradley Kieffer, 23, of Nevada passed away at home Sunday, April 3, 2016.
Jordan was born July 25, 1992, in Ames, the son of James and Julie (Barrett) Kieffer. He graduated from Nevada High School in 2011 and had attended UNI. Jordan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada.
Jordan enjoyed many things including: spending time outdoors, enjoying sports, hunting, and hanging with friends and family. Music touched him and he enjoyed the experience of different musical groups and genres and he was an accomplished guitar player. Jordan came to know many people and he loved to make them smile. Loyal and true, his nature showed him to be a good friend.
Jordan was deeply patriotic and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps holding the rank of Lance Corporal. He loved his home state and was proud to call himself an Iowan.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Jim and Julie of Nevada; his sister, Emily of Ames; his paternal grandmother, Phyllis (Rod) Zuehlke; his maternal grandmother, Louise (Steve) Ward; along with his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Patrick Kieffer; his step-grandfather, Ted Hamilton; his maternal grandfather, William C. Barrett; and his step-grandfather, Don Turner.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada. Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Jordan to be donated in his name at a later date.

Jordan had a sweet and beautiful soul. He left an indelible mark on all he knew.
