--On Friday morning, June 26th, Mrs. Thompson, wife of Andrew Thompson, passed away at her home in Gilbert Station. She leaves a husband and several children to mourn her loss.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The name of the deceased is pure conjecture: Andrew Thompson lived in Franklin Township in the 1885 and 1895 census. In 1885 his wife was alive but in 1895 he is listed as a widower. Both the children, Sophia and Nels, were married in Story County listing their residence as Gilbert, Iowa and their parents as Andrew Thompson and Karen Larson.
