Obituary.

On Monday morning, March 30th, 1891, Mrs. Carrie A. White-Chitty died at her home two and a half miles east of Nevada. The house was crowded with sympathizing friends at the funeral, which took place Tuesday at 1 P. M., conducted by Rev. Mr. Danner. She was earnest, concientious and warm hearted in her associations and work in the community, and especially in her home life and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Nearly her last words were utterances of thankfulness to God for her pleasant lot in this life, and for a bright prospect of a glorious future. She was born in Meriden, Illinois, Oct. 10, 1862, came to Iowa in 1880 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. White, and was married to E. R. Chitty, September 16, 1884, who is left with two little children, Jessie and Clyde, to feel greatly this loss of a faithful companion and loving mother. The entire community sincerely sympathize with the bereaved households. Mr. Chitty and Mrs. White express heart felt thanks for the kindly assistance given them during the sickness and death of the beloved wife and daughter.
