OBITUARY:--Died at his home in this city last Thursday morning June 5th, 1890, John Horton aged 70. His fatal sickness was of but a few days duration and his death came very unexpectedly to his friends and neighbors. Mr. Horton was born in Bradford county, Pa., Dec. 14, 1819. In 1869 he came to Story county where he has since resided. He had been twice married.* His second wife and nine children survive him. His funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Saturday and were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Coyle. Mr. Horton was a man of sterling integrity and highly respected by all who were brought into business and neighborly relations. His family and friends receive the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
