The death of Mrs. Jane Harrison Stevens occurred at her home on East street, Friday, and the funeral service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. Danner, at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. The burial was beside her husband, Elias Stevens, whose remains have reposed in the Mullen graveyard thirteen years. Mrs. Stevens' age was sixty-six; she had been a resident of Story county since '56 or '58; her connection with the Methodist church reached over half a century; she lived worthily and dies regretted. Her surviving children are Mrs. Frank Finch, of Roland, Mrs. W. A. Springer, of Des Moines, Mrs. Bruce Stoddard and Messrs. W. I. and Isaac Stevens of Nevada.
