Mrs. Geo. Benedict died on Sunday evening after a lingering illness. Consumption developed early in the winter, and she continued to fall until death came. She leaves a husband and two children, one a babe of about six months. Her death will be sorely felt, for she was a most excellent lady and highly respected by all. The funeral took place of Tuesday at 10 A. M. from the M. E. church, of which she was a devoted member, the service being conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. Nichol....

....Mrs. Briggs, of Winnebago, Illinois, who had been with her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Benedict, for several weeks before her death, and remained until after the funeral, left for home on Friday evening. Her tender care for her daughter, in her last sickness, received the universal commendation of the people here....
