From Nevada Representative January 15, 1890

W. B. Miller who has been in failing health the past year, and went a little over four weeks ago to Rocky Ford, Colorado, for his health, died last Thursday afternoon* and was brought back by his attendant, Mr. Ward, Saturday evening. It was a sudden and sad blow to his family and many friends, when the telegram came announcing his death, as he had seemed to be improving up to the evening before his death. He was a respected member of the I. O. O. F. who took charge of his funeral. Funeral services were held at the church Sunday morning at 11 A. M. from which place he was taken to the Madrid cemetery* and buried by his brethren. He leaves a wife and five children and many other friends to mourn the early death of a loving husband, a kind father and respected citizen. May they all meet in the better land, to which his heart turned in his last days.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: W. B. Miller died on 9 January 1890 and was buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Madrid, Boone County, Iowa.
