Richard, son of James S. and Jessie M. Smith of Zearing, Iowa, died Feb. 5th, 1889, age 4 mos. and 24 days.

On Dec. 29th, their little daughter Colleen died. Just one month after that, (Jan. 29th) Mr. Smith's brother, whose obituary appeared last week, passed away. And now, just one week from the brother's death, the only remaining child is taken away. This triple loss to our neighbor and brother makes his cup of sorrow about full; but the hope of the gospel sustains him. The grief stricken ones have the sympathy of all their friends and acquaintances. B. H. Niebel.
