From Nevada Representative July 11, 1888

Mrs. Lucinda P. Wood, relict of John S. Wood, died Thursday of heart disease at her home in Maxwell, and was buried on Saturday. Her husband was killed in the War for the Union, leaving her with three daughters, all of whom are now married. She was a most estimable woman and is mourned by a wide circle of friends.

--Mrs. Lucinda P. Wood, of Maxwell, whose death was noted last week was born in Ohio February 3d, 1833, was married September 10, 1853, to John S. Wood, and died at Maxwell July 5, 1888. Her husband enlisted in 1862, was wounded and captured at Pleasant Hill in 1864, and died soon after in a Rebel prison.
