Just as the sun wa setting in the west, Wednesday, June 27, Mrs. Wm. White passed to that undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveler ever returns. Her maiden name was Ann K. Parker. She was born in Leictershire, England, in the year 1816, emigrated to Ohio when about 4 years old, lived there until the year 1854, was married to Wm. White in 1838, came to Story county, Iowa, in 1855, where she has lived ever since. Mrs. White was converted and joined the years of age and has lived a devoted Christian life ever since. Her remains are laid to rest in that beautiful place, Woodland Cemetery. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss. Thus one by one the old settler are passing away....J. J. Parker and daughter, Mrs. S. L. Daniels, of Burlington, are visiting with Wm. White, having been called to attend the funeral of his sister, Ann K. White....
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: J. J. Parker is the brother of the deceased, John Jarvis Parker. His daughter was Augusta P. Parker, wife of Samuel L. Daniels.
