Mrs. George Kuhn received a letter from her daughter, Mrs. Mary Dewey, of Grand View, Dakota, informing her of a sad accident which occurred April 29. Mrs. D's little boy Freddie fell in an old well and drowned while out playing. He was a bright little boy of five summers and was known and loved by all. The funeral took place at the M. E. church on Sunday, May 1st, after which the remains were laid to rest by the side of his little brother in the Grand View Cemetery. This sudden bereavement falls heavily on the grief stricken parents.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. George Kuhn" was Mary Ann (Shearer) Kuhn who married George Nelson Kuhn. Their daughter, "Mrs. Mary Dewey," was Mary Jane (Kuhn) Dewey who married Charles Franklin Dewey.
