Obituary.
Died in Nevada, Iowa, Feb'y 4th, 1886, at the residence of his son, O. B. Ingalls, Henry W. Ingalls, aged 79 years.
Mr. Ingalls was born in Brookfield, Mass. Dec. 13th, 1807. In early life he moved to Rodman, Jefferson county, New York, at which place and other points in vicinity he worked at the hatter's trade. In 1830, he took up a farm in Brownville township in the above named county, and lived thereon for 43 years. He married in 1838. In 1881 he sold his farm and stated with his family for western Iowa. While on the way and during a visit with friends in Morrison, Illinois, his wife of 43 years was taken sick and died. Since the death of his wife his home has been with his son O. B. Ingalls. His health had been infirm for the past three years, but he had not been confined to his bed until the four weeks preceding his death. Mr. Ingalls was a member of the Presbyterian Church and lived and died as becomes a Christian. His remains, under the final care of O. B. Ingalls were taken to Morrison, Illinois, Saturday night for burial. He will be greatly missed by his relatives, and remembered by all as a kindly old gentleman whom it was pleasant to meet.

--Mr. Fred Ingalls and wife of Des Moines were in town several days last week, the occasion being the illness, death and funeral of their father, H. W. Ingalls.
