....Mr. A. W. Southwick and wife received a telegram from Ohio Saturday night announcing the death of Mr. Southwick's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Southwick and P. H. Ream started for Ohio Sunday morning....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. A. W. Southwick" was Margaret Irene (Spar) Southwick. She was the daughter of William B. Spar and Frances Ream and was married to Albert Willis Southwick on 24 August 1882 in Ada, Hardin County, Ohio.

"P. H. Ream" referred to in this article was Phillip H. Ream. He and the Southwicks were residents of Union Township, Story County, Iowa. Phillip H. Ream was the brother of the deceased, Frances (Ream) Spar, and was therefore Mrs. Southwick's uncle.
