....Eddie, the nine year old son of Mat McPherson, died at the home of his brother, Gus McHone, the 17th of Nov. of erysipalas in the face, and was buried in Woodland Cemetery the 19th, Rev. Brubaker of the Dunkard church officiating....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Eddie McPherson was the son of Mathew Stephen McPherson and Hannah Pointer. Eddie's mother, Hannah Pointer, married three times: (1) Mr. Crail, (2) Millington McHone and (3) Mathew Stephen McPherson. Augustus William "Gus" McHone was Eddie's half brother by his mother's second marriage.
