Maxwell.

We are sorry to announce the death of Mrs. N. Bennett, which sad event occurred Tuesday morning, Nov. 27, 1883. She had been a patient sufferer for many months of that dread disease consumption. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. B. Lane, and the remains were buried in the Peoria City cemetery:

The happy family circle,
In which she filled her place
As wifem, companion, mother,
With gentleness and grace,

Did not see thy shadow,
Or feel the unwelcome breath,
That marked the silent coming
Of the messenger of death,

So trusting in His strength,
And in his strength alone.
Our heartfelt prayers may ever be,
Thy will not mine be done.
