Oct. 11, 1883, at Colo, Iowa, Barney Van Horn. Mr. Van Horn was born in Bethany, Genessee county, N. Y. in 1828, emigrated to Wisconsin in 1848, was married to Mary E. Ormsby in 1852, removed to Illinois in 1854 and in 1858, returned to Wisconsin. His health failing he returned again to Illinois in 1862. In 1872 he came to Story county. One half or more of the time since he has lived in Wisconsin and Nebraska. He gave his hart to God and his hand to the M. E. church in 1878. He lived a consistent christian life and died in the christian faith. F. D. F.
