--Mrs. Samuel Flickinger of Elwell returned Friday from Ray, Illinois, where she had cared for her sister, Mrs. James Gillian, through an illness terminating fatally December 28th. Mrs. Gillian's maiden name was Etta Sherman, her first marriage was to Mr. C. B. McArtor, and until resent years her home was in or near Nevada. Those who were members of the Nevada high school during the later 70's will recall Miss Etta Sherman pleasantly, and in their thoughts she will doubtless be closely associated with her sister, Miss Lu Sherman-- later Mrs. Mayo, and by a second marriage, Mrs. J. L. Harney, who died at Moscow, Montana*, about a year ago.
