OBITUARY

DEATH OF MRS. FARRINGTON

Mrs. Annis Farrington, widow of the late E. F. Farrington, was found dead in her bed at her home east of Nevada Saturday morning having apparently been dead for about two hours. Mrs. Farrington was born at Greensborough, Indiana, December 30, 1907, aged 69 years, 7 months and 4 days. She ws the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Cox, and she was reared at Greensborough, and continued to reside in Indiana until about the close of the war, when they came to Iowa, locating first in Marshall county but finally settling about 1857 upon their farm east the East Indian in Nevada township, Story county. There they reared their ten children, all of whom survive, and there Mr. Farrington passed away December 14, 1893. Mr. Farrington was always known as a representative citizen and farmer, commanding in most generous measure the esteem of all who knew him, and Mrs. Farrington has been a most model farmer's wife and mother of a family, working hard and doing all that could be done for the well-being of her family and friends. He ten children are: Mrs. Martha Dally of Hamilton county; Mrs. Mary Barrett of Brunswick, Nebraska; Leroy of Providence, Oklahoma; Mrs. Della Mullen of Nevada, Mrs. Lou Gregory of Yates Center, Kansas; J F. of Ottawa, Kansas; J. m. of Nevada, and A. G. of Nevada. besides these six sons and four daughters she leaves thirty-six grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted from the home on East Indian Tuesday at one o'clock by Rev. R. E. Shaw, pastor of the Methodist church of Nevada.
