Hold Funeral Services For Burness Green In Kenesaw, Nebraska
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Sept. 5, at the Jackson Funeral home in Kenesaw, Neb., for Burness Elmer Green former Nevada, Story City and Cambridge resident, who died on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Lake Andes, South Dakota.
Surviving are his wife, Vandora; two sons, James Deal of Topeka, Kans., now stationed at Scott Field, Belleville, Ill., and George Albert of Lake Andes, S. D.; one daughter Mary Lou Whitesel of Kenesaw, Nebr.; one grandson, Robert Green of Topeka, Kans.; two brothers, George and Kermit Green of Cambridge, and host of friends.
Obituary
Burness Elmer Breen was born at Cambridge, Iowa, April 25, 1886. he was a the son of James Bourne and Alma Hortense Green and was educated in the Cambridge school graduating in 1964.
In 1919 he was united in marriage to Vandora Rachel Mead and they made their home in Cambridge until 1921, when they moved to Story City, where he was manager of the telephone exchange for a number of years.
In 1942 the family moved to Keneshaw, Nebr., and in April 1948 they went to Lake Andes, S. D., where he passed away of heart failure on September 2, 1948.
