Curtis Knight.
Ames Times: Curtis Knight, an old resident of Story county, died suddenly of heart failure at his home northeast of this city, Friday afternoon. He had jst been to Ames bringing his wife to the depot, and had returned to his home, and was found in the barn lot a short time afterward with life extinct. Mrs. Knight, who had gone to Boone on the morning train to visit friends, was at once notified of his death and returned on the evening train. Mr. Knight was apparently in good health and his sudden death was a shock to his family.
Curtis Knight was born at Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1830. At the age of twentytwo he was married to Elizabeth Doty. To this union three children were born, Maria Knight of Ames, Mrs. Clement[ine] Knight of Cambridge, and Mrs. Ella Ryan deceased. His second marriage occurred October 17, 1903, to Mrs. Hattie McFadden of Boone. The funeral was conducted Monday by Rev. O. L. Wilson and the body was taken to Center Grove cemetery for burial.
