Relatives in this city have learned that Ernest Hemstead was killed Monday night in Pennsylvania. Mr. Hemstead was a young man in the early twenties and was the son of Mrs. Olive Hemstead of Chicago. No particulars have been learned of the fatality but as he was a railroad man it is thought that he met his death in his work. The Hemsteads are well known here, having lived near this city for many years. Mrs. Hemstead is a sister of L. D. Applegate.
