Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bales of Winnebago, Minn. were called to Des Moines to attend the funeral of the father's mother, Mrs. S. M. McCall. Mr. and Mrs. McCall formerly lived at Zearing. Their home is now at Cedar Falls. Early in the winter they went to Texas hoping the milder climate would improve the physical condition of Mrs. McCall, but she grew steadily worse and passed away Sunday March 4. Many Story county friends extended sincere sympathy to the sorrowing ones. Mr. Bales called on relatives and friends here Wednesday.
