Bruce Preston Pedigo was born August 16, 1962 to Larry and Lois (Erickson) Pedigo in Hays, Kansas. The family moved to Ames in 1967 and Bruce graduated from Ames High School in 1981. Bruce received a B.S in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 1987, and went on to earn a M.S. degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines. He was employed as a pharmacist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines until 1998 and continued to live in Des Moines until 2004. Bruce was most recently a resident of the DuPage County Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois.

Bruce was a wrestler while at Ames High (112 lbs). He loved his 1963 Corvette and was a member of the Cyclone Corvette Club, the Wheaton YMCA, and was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Bruce passed away at 53 years of age on September 22, 2015 at the DuPage County Hospital in Winfield, Illinois, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Bruce is survived by his parents, Larry and Lois Pedigo of Ames; his children, Sarah Pedigo, Anne Pedigo and Eric Pedigo; his sister, Brenda Cloyd and her fiancé Michael Weigel; and his former spouse, Jennifer Pedigo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Euella Erickson, Albert Erickson, Esther Pedigo, and Bruce Pedigo.

Memorial funds can be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Ames, Iowa.
