ALBERT J. LARSON

Albert J. Larson, 87, of Cambridge died Saturday at North Grand Care Center in Ames.

Born June 16, 1886 Cambridge to Jonas and Karen Larson, he had been a painter at Iowa State University for many years. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion Post in Cambridge for 56 years.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge with Pastor Tom Dettner officiating. Interment will be at the Palestine Cemetery in Huxley.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Anderson of Cambridge, Mrs. Ella Engen of Slater and many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

There will be a prayer service at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames at 7:30 Monday evening. Friends may call at the funeral home until noon Tuesday when the body will be taken to Cambridge to lie in state.
