Another Pioneer Gone.
Jacob Stull, son of John and Marcy Stull was born Nov. 25, 1825 in Coshocton county, Ohio and died Jan. 6, 1906 at his home two miles northwest of Ontario. Mr. Stull was married the Mary Miser, March 15, 1849 in Tuscarawas county, Ohio. In 1854 the moved to Illinois. The following year they moved to Boone county, Ia. In 1860 they moved to the farm where he resided until his death. To this union nine children were born, seven sons and two daughters. Two of the sons and one daughter preceded the father to the Beyond. All of the children living were present at the funeral with the exception of one daughter who resided in Washington state and a son living in Trenton, New Jersey. Mr. Stull was a charter member of the Mt. Olive lodge A. F. A. M. Also of Tuscan Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Boone, Ia. The funeral was largely attended by neighbors and friends. Rev. Pruitt of the U. B. church conducted the funeral ceremony Monday forenoon at 10 o'clock and the remains laid to rest in the old family lot in the Ontario cemetery.
