Sarah Jane Gonnerman was born September 3, 1969 to Charles W. and Nancy (Anderson) Gonnerman in Lake City, Iowa. Sarah graduated Wall Lake High School in 1987 and then from the University of Iowa in 1991. She worked in pharmaceutical sales and enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. Sarah taught English to Japanese adults and children.

Sarah passed away at 45 years of age in Des Moines on May 25, 2015.

Sarah is survived by her parents, Chuck and Nancy Gonnerman, of Ames; two brothers, Stephen (Tabitha) Gonnerman, of Carroll and Daniel (Lisa) Gonnerman, of Slater; five nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Christopher, Stephenie, Alyssa and Mikiel; her grandmother, Dorothy Anderson, of Odebolt; and many close family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roland Anderson and Carl and Martha Gonnerman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the family or NAMI Iowa, 3839 Merle Hay Road, Suite 226, Des Moines, IA 50310.
