Florence was born on September 30, 1923 in Jewell to parents Mentz and Hannah (Olson) Theodorson. She graduated from Jewell high school. Florence married Robert V. Kalseim on February 8, 1948. She worked as a secretary for the South Hamilton Community School for twenty-one years. She lived her life in the Jewell and Story City area. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Florence enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and ceramics. She loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake. Robert and Florence were very active with the Shriners.

Florence Arlene Kalseim passed away June 6, 2015 at Bethany Manor, Story City, Iowa, at the age of 91 years.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Valerie Harms of Clinton Township, Michigan and a grandson, Jason Harms.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Kalseim on September 11, 1993; two sisters, Ruth Eames and Gladys Frye and her son-in-law, Stanley Harms.
