COLLINS – Elizabeth Harriett Prindle Monahan, 61, of Rt. 1, Collins, died Saturday, April 24, at her home in Collins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Nevada memorial Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Daniel W. Solomon will conduct services and burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at the Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorials to the Nevada Lutheran Church will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband, Max D.; two sons, Michael of Nevada and Daniel of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters, Marcia Kleiman of Tucson, Ariz., Teresa Krebs of Nevada, Stacie Link of Cambridge and Brenda McIntosh of Unadilla, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her mother, Amanda Lyla Prindle of Lyle, Minn.

Mrs. Monahan was a cashier at the Nevada National Bank.

She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

The daughter of Lester and Amanda Thovson Prindle, she was born April 1, 1932 in Mower County, Minn.

She was married to Max Monahan May 5, 1950 in Lyle, Minn.

Mrs. Monahan had resided for 13 years in Collins and for 27 years in Nevada. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Tues 27 Apr 1993.
