Gloria Jean (Casperson) Mooney, age 64, of Waukee and formerly of Nevada, was ushered into heaven on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Kavanaugh House in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Pastor Luke Timm will officiate, with burial to follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada. The family will receive friends at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Born October 3, 1950, in Ames, Iowa, Gloria Jean Mooney was the daughter of James Albert and Dorothy Marie (Wilson) Casperson. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1968. She was employed by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Des Moines until her death.

In 1980, she married Jack L. Mooney in Las Vegas, Nevada. No children were born to this union.

Gloria is survived by her brother, Rev. Michael (Darlene) Casperson of Superior, WI; two sisters, Carol Ann (Kendall) Brown of Knoxville, and Deb (Jeff) Paris of Boone; four nephews, Cory Paris and fiancée Sherry Malin, Andrew (Natasha) Mills, Philip Mills, and Colton Brown; a niece, Kelsey (Kenny) Stevens; and six great-nieces and -nephews, Dakota Mills, Taylor Stevens, Mallory Mills, Josiah Mills, Samantha Stevens, and Tobi Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Gloria and her family.
