E. Dean Fritz, 79, of Winterset, Iowa died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at his home.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with a reception to immediately follow at the Jackson Community Building. A visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 4, at Ochiltree's with family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made in his name. Ellwyn Dean Fritz was born March 1, 1933 in Menlo, Iowa; the son of Clarence LeRoy and Evelyn (Cox) Fritz.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Peg of Winterset; his children, Jay Fritz of Des Moines; Julie (David) Bunch of Indianola; Janeen Fritz of Ankeny; Mark (Lori) Ramsey of Greenfield; Todd (Diane) Ramsey of Greenfield; Jared (Julie) Fritz of Winterset and Buck (Laura) Fritz of Carlisle. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Rosalie (Frank) Amos of Ames and Marcia (Donald) Lamaak of Early.
