Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Herbert Johnson was born on September 12, 1924 to Eli and Magdalena (Ananison) Johnson in Roland, Iowa. He was a farmer and lived in the Roland, Nevada area all his life. Herbert was baptized and confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being on the farm, fishing and hunting for treasures. He loved music, ice cream and popcorn. And he loved when his sister and many nieces and nephews came to visit him.

Herbert J. Johnson died on January 28, 2015 at Story County Senior Care in Nevada, Iowa at the age of 90 years.

Herbert is survived by his sister, Ethyleen Sampson of Nevada, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Magdalena Johnson; his sisters: Ruth Johnson, Jeanette Johanson, Agnes Hauser and three brothers: Earl, Julius and Marion Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bergen Lutheran Church are preferred.
