Mrs. Elfa Worsley, 75, lifelong resident of Nevada, died at her home, 906 Fifth street, Nevada at 4:30 today after an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Worsley had been a sufferer from asthma and other complications for a number of years but her condition had become serious during the past few weeks.
Relatives had been summoned and her son, Theodore and family and sister, Mrs. Lee Will arrived from Salina, Kansas a few hours before death and her son, Arthur is expected here Sunday from Eudora, Arkansas.
The funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p. m., at the Morfoot Funeral home and interment will be by the side of her husband, the late Theo. P. Worsley in the Nevada cemetery. The husband died July 12, 1925.
Mrs. Worsley was born Elfa Emmazette Lockridge in Nevada October 8, 1860, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lockridge. Here she spent her girlhood, graduated from the Nevada schools with the class of 1880 and was united in marriage to Theodore P,. Worsley, April 24, 1884.
The family home continued here where their two son were born. The eldest son, Arthur, is no located in Arkansas, while the younger son, Theodore Jr., with his family, lives at Salina, Kansas.
Besides the sons and their children, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Etta Will of Salina and Mrs. E. S. Armstrong of 432 I Avenue.
Mrs. Worsley, eldest of the pioneer Lockridge family and having lived here all of her life, was well known and highly respected in the city. She was a woman of fine mind and strong character and ws held in very high esteem by a wide circle of friends, neighbors and acquaintances.
