Fred E. Hansen, 66, for over a third of a century a practicing attorney in Nevada, died very suddenly at his home early Sunday morning from a heart attack, complicated by high blood pressure.
Saturday he had spent some hours at the office and late in the afternoon had spent a few hours in the timber with friends hunting mushrooms. Returning home he enjoyed his dinner and with Mrs. Hansen spent the evening with friends. He retired feeling well and in good spirits at the usual hour but suffered the attack about 3:30 Sunday morning

He was principal of the Roland schools during the early part of 1899 when he became a candidate for the office of county superintendent of schools, to which he was elected and came to Nevada on January 1, 1900.
