DEATHS. - The wife of James Stebbins, Jr. [Nettie Baker Stebbins] died at Story City last Monday, of diptheria. Her remains were brought here and place in the cemetery vault, to await the coming of her father and mother, who are living Missouri - She leaves a husband and one child and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her early death (Hamtilton Freeman Journal, Webster City IA, 9 Jan 1878, 5).
