Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Tina Rodriguez, 42, of Ames, passed away December 25, 2014 at Israel Family Hospice House. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM January 11, at Iowa State Student Union. Services will also be held 2:00 PM January 2, at Sandy Springs Mormon Church in Atlanta GA.

Tina Rodriguez was born January 6, 1972 in New York City, New York. She had a Bachelor of Science in History from Georgia Southern University. Tina and David Zimmerman were married on May 11, 2002 in Marietta, Georgia. Tina taught Spanish to pre-schoolers and often volunteered for the Red Cross. She loved to read, watch movies, travel, play with her dog, Bentley and live Halloween every day.

Tina is survived by her husband, David Zimmerman; her mother, Lucy Amalfitano; three sisters, Kelly (Rob) Roesler, Gina Amalfitano and Ann Marie Amalfitano; and ten nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Amalfitano.
