Story City man died Saturday

Hans Jacob Hanson, 89, Story City died of a heart attack at his home early Saturday morning.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, Story City with the Rev. A.J. Bringle officiating. Burial will be in the Mamreland Cemetery in Randall.

Mr. Hanson, a longtime Story City resident, was born May 17, 1882 to Soren and Jacobine Hanson in Hamilton County. In 1911 he married Margaret Froland.

Survivors include a daughter, Violet Hanson, Santa Monica, Calif.; two sisters Agnes Hanson and Mrs. Stella Magna Idse both of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret, in 1963; three brothers and one sister.
